We're working on live in-play picks

PickVerify Team

When we built PickVerify, we made one non-negotiable design decision: every pick must be submitted before the event starts. The platform enforces this at the server level — once a match kicks off, the event disappears from the selection dropdown. There is no workaround.

That constraint is what makes every track record on this platform worth trusting. You don't need to take a tipster's word for it. The system itself makes it technically impossible to add a pick in hindsight. No external auditor, no manual verification — the architecture is the proof.

Today, PickVerify only supports pre-event picks. If you see a tipster with a 65% win rate and a +18% yield, those numbers are real — because they couldn't have been manufactured after the fact.

Why we haven't done live picks yet

In-play betting is a completely different beast. Odds move by the second. Markets open and close in real time. A 5-second delay between submitting a pick and it being recorded on our side could mean the odds are already gone — or the event is effectively decided.

The trust problem is also harder. With pre-event picks the rule is simple: the event either hasn't started or it has. With in-play picks we need to record the exact moment of submission — minute, second, match state — and cross-reference it against a reliable data feed to prove the pick was made before the relevant moment passed.

We didn't want to ship something half-baked. A live-pick system that isn't airtight would undermine the entire premise of the platform.

What we're building

We are currently designing a live-pick feature that maintains the same guarantee: you will never have to wonder whether a pick was placed before or after the key moment. Here is how we are approaching it:

  • Server-side timestamping — the submission timestamp is recorded by our servers, not the client browser, making it impossible to spoof.
  • Live feed integration — we are integrating a real-time sports data provider so we can verify the match clock at the exact moment a pick arrives.
  • Immutable pick records — once a live pick is accepted, it is locked in the same way pre-event picks are today. No edits, no deletions.
  • Clear labelling — live picks will always be visually distinct from pre-event picks on a tipster's profile, so followers can see exactly what they are evaluating.

When can you expect it?

We are in active development. We don't have a public launch date yet — we will announce it here and via email when we are confident the system meets our trust standard. We would rather be slow and right than fast and compromised.

In the meantime, every tipster profile you browse today gives you something rare: a track record you can actually believe.
